Handcraft seasonal Japanese sweets and enjoy a quiet bowl of matcha in the open air

In each session, you’ll handcraft refined, seasonal Japanese sweets and learn the stories behind their motifs and seasons. Then, using a bamboo whisk, you’ll make your own bowl of matcha and enjoy it outdoors with your handmade sweets—the quiet setting gently enhances aroma and taste. Adults of all genders are welcome. No prior experience required. ■Program 1) Season & Motif Stories A short introduction to seasonal themes and the cultural meanings behind the designs. 2) Sweets Making (two kinds) Create two pieces (e.g., nerikiri). We prepare the bases in advance so you can focus on shaping and design. Alongside classic koshian, we may offer modern flavor accents. 3) Matcha in the Open Air With our original chabako (portable tea box), whisk your own bowl of matcha and enjoy it with your sweets outdoors. ■Location 1. Yoyogi area — Hands-on session at our atelier next to Shinjuku Gyoen. 2.Gokokuji area — Hands-on session in an authentic tatami room, a 4-minute walk from Gokokuji Station. ※The exact meeting point will be shared upon booking. ※In case of rain, the matcha part will be held indoors at the venue. ■Dates & Time Weekdays 10:30–12:30 — available by request. ■Fee ¥9,000 (tax incl.) per person Includes: two handmade sweets, one bowl of matcha, and a takeaway box. Private bookings available for groups of 4+. ■Notes You may be asked to remove rings, watches, or bracelets during making (gloves available on request). We’re unable to provide individual allergy accommodations (ingredient substitutions or separate tools). Ingredients may include soy, nuts, and food colorings—please check details before booking. ■How to Book 1.Request your preferred date & venue Choose Yoyogi (atelier next to Shinjuku Gyoen) or Gokokuji (authentic tatami room, 4-min walk) and share your preferred date/time. 2.Availability reply from immer We’ll confirm availability and send you a booking link. 3.Complete payment Secure your spot by completing payment (card payment available). 4.Meet on the day You’ll receive a confirmation email with the meeting point and details. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start incur a 100% charge. As this experience may be held outdoors, severe weather may prompt an indoor alternative or a date transfer at the host’s discretion.
